Meet Ivan Karugaba
Eng. Ivan Karugaba is the Founder and CEO of Lwera Electronics & Semiconductors Ltd. Uganda's pioneering chip and electronics design and rapid prototyping facility.
His work is transforming the nation's engineering landscape by building indigenous expertise in semiconductor design, advanced electronics, embedded systems, and high-performance hardware development.
He is also hte founder of Microfuse Computer Technologies, where he led the creation of Uganda's first fully locally designed low-cost, low energy computer - a device empowering underserved schools and learners. Microfuse's Innovation has already reached classrooms in over 20 schools, breaking barriers in digital inclusio and education technology.
